There was a scene here that was absolutely corny and unbelievable. Also, after all was said and done they made up way too quick for something that caused years of pain and hatred. It would’ve been better if God went to tell them the truth, with the records from the case to make them believe. And the resolution that brings his family back together is extremely convenient. His mother made a lot of assumptions and seemed as if she never bothered to follow up with the police about what happened and the reasoning behind God’s sentence. However, his family denounced and resented him for it without hearing his side of things. Basically he did something very bad but of course there were pretty good reasons for it. God’s past about what happened to him was sad but didn’t make all that much sense. It started out kind of believable and just dissolved into nonsensical goo as the story went on. It’s your typical splice-the-characters-and-the-defining-feature-in-the-book-together type of thing but it’s tastefully done.

I actually like the cover of this one a lot.Some of the sex was hot but there’s a scene in particular that was more random and out of place than anything else.I’ll explain more about artificial manliness and such further in. The tone of the writing however got very “bro” at times. The writing itself was alright, could have used more editing.The story details how the two finally end up as a couple and confessing their love while dealing with God’s family drama/past, annoying coworkers, and their jobs as detectives. Leo is “out and proud” while God “appears” to be heterosexual. They’ve been partners on the force for five years and are very close to each other.
